French term or phrase: contrôleur des finances publiques
Minutes of a sole shareholder's resolutions to dissolve his company and merge it with another.

This just appears in a stamp with someone's name.

Is it just "tax inspector"? This page https://www.reconversionprofessionnelle.org/fiche-metier-con... seems to suggest so.

English translation:(public) finance officer
Explanation:
I think this is the right sort of term for a more junior role in the public sector, though there are not many hits with "public" at the beginning

-> The roles reporting directly to the "Comptroller...." are called "Executive Leaders" - these are still very senior posts and according to the asker, the role in question is very junior.

disagree  philgoddard: You haven't given any evidence that this is the correct translation. As the discussion box shows, it's a much more junior position.

disagree  AllegroTrans: Apart from the fact that this is a more junior position, you have inappropropriately "localised" this to a UK term; the text is not from the UK
