Explanation:
As I have worked in a casino as a dealer (croupier), in the UK the staff that is not allowed clothes with pockets are the dealers, who play the game, and the chippers, who collect the chips played (on the roulette table). The same is in the USA, although nowadays most commonly there are machines to collect the chips, but the position of "chipper" still exists. The word "chipper" is strictly used in the casino environment, so no reference this time, unfortunately...This is my experience talking.
