French term or phrase: tableau
How would you translate tableau in the following context. Again, this is taken from the Titeuf translation. There is no more context as the sentences appear randomly.

Tu sais quoi ? Dans trombocops, le truc c'est de finir le tableau avec la dernière catégorie : au prochain tableau t'es sûr d'avoir un bonus joker !

My translation so far:

D'you know what? The trick in Trombocops is to finish the leaderboard in last position. That way you're sure to get a joker bonus on the next leaderboard!

Ce n'est pas en fait, le classement dont il parle, mais bien le niveau (level) du jeu.

Explanation:
I don't like in the last position, it could be in the last category.
Tableau can be "tableau d'affichage, de score, etc. Not being aplayer on that kind of games, maybe an electronic game fan will give you further information

Explanation:
Not sure at all here, but I think that the "tableau" here is referring to a particular game or scene which the player needs to get through before moving onto the next one. There's probably a proper name for it in English PlayStation-speak.

"Board" appears to be the term used by those in the know. Google "playstation" + "next board" for plenty of examples. As the reviewers talk a lot about the "story" in these games, I wonder if this "board" isn't actually a short form of "storyboard".

I found a review of a different Titeuf game (in French) with a screen dump of the various "tableaux".

agree  Emma Paulay: I think so too. I think it would be get to the last stage of the game/scene, not last place.
