French term or phrase: domiciliation de salaire de bénéficiaire
Hello,
I'm translating a basic loan agreement French to English. Please help me figure out how to best render these phrases. Thank you!

Here is the context:
l'emprunteur consent que ses données seront transféré aux filiales de la banque, ainsi qu'à son employeur (dans le cadre de son engagement de domiciliation de salaire de bénéficiaire auprès de la banque)

So the bank will send the borrower's personal info to the borrower's employer because ...???

Several good options here depending on the context, but I think the most general translation is this one. Thanks for your help, everyone.

pay their salary (into their bank account)

Explanation:
I'm not sure what "bénéficiaire" means, hence the 3, but I don't think it affects the translation.

neutral  AllegroTrans: pay cheque for European English but this might quite possibly be a bank transfer; checks/cheques are not used often for salary payments nowadays

agree  writeaway: direct deposit works imo

agree  Yvonne Gallagher: simply direct deposit/ wire transfer these days (rather than paycheck/ cheque)

(engagement de) domiciliation de salaire de bénéficiaire
(undertaking to arrange a) bank transfer of the payee's salary

Explanation:
... to be taken by direct debit to pay off the loan instal(l)ments directly to the lender.

I've prefaced the question with 'engagement' to make the scenario of a direct-debit mandate clearer.

Domiciliation means place of payment (Bridge).

Domiciliation of a bill of exchange (US: banker's draft) is a different ball game and payment by check / cheque of the employee's salary is most unlikely: 'All employees of the Department paid through the central payroll system are required to use direct crediting (electronic funds transfer) for their salary payments.'

bénéficiaire is the payee of the salary or banker's order,

Example sentence(s):
  • Une domiciliation de salaire est le paiement, *par virement bancaire*, de vos salaires par votre employeur.
  • IATE: domiciliation d'un effet en domicile of a bill of exchange domicile of promissory note

-> Thanks, AT. The bank seems to be 'capturing' the loan repayments out of the salary.

neutral  Christopher RH: agree that this is the way to answer: the engagement is the vital bit. However it's a commitment to receive/process the salary by wire transfer into/through that account (designating that account to the employer), not out
