French term or phrase: déversement en pluie
Treatment of VOCs in an industrial plant.

"En pluie" seems fairly self-explanatory to me: to me it suggests you're pointing a hose up in the air so that the liquid which comes out of it falls into your tank as droplets over quite a wide area. Anyone know different, of if I'm right does anyone know how this might be expressed in this context?

agree  Tony M: Yes, it's not necessarily anything to do with pointing the hose upwards. It just means that in some way it 'rains down', like a shower, and so 'spray' seems to me ideal.

Explanation:
Not sure where you get the "wide area" part from. Sounds like some kind of overflow control rather than primary loading method.

disagree  SafeTex: Overflow control?
