4 | ribbon cable |

ribbon cable Explanation: Please see previous entries. Is this a replacement part (= internal) or an external accessory? If it is internal, then it is very likely to be connected via a ribbon cable, typically runing between the external connector (jack or whatever) fitted to the case and the mother board. If it is merely an external accessory, many these days use a kind of flexible, jacketed ribbon cable for non-signal applications like chargers that don't usually require a screened cable; personally, as an external accessory, I wouldn't tend to refer to it as a 'nappe' — but that is literally what it is, after all! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 minutes (2014-12-16 14:49:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Ah yes, looking at your product, it is indeed an internal spare part, and you can clearly see that apart from the actual connectors themselves, it does indeed include several pieces of ribbon cable. You might want to interpret the 'avec' here as being 'complete with ribbon cable to fit iPhone 5S' — i.e. it is an integral part of the product, not soemthing that is merely 'supplied with' it. |
