French term or phrase: étudiants des Parcours Cinéma d'animation et Animation au service du réel
Greetings :)

I encountered this sentence (32 étudiants des Parcours Cinéma d'animation et Animation au service du réel) in a course curriculum for a university and I don't know how to translate it; my version is: 32 students for the course of animated movies and realistic animations. Can you help in that regard? Thanks in advance.

You should really keep your questions to about five words or so.

I suppose most people would associate animation with cartoons, but there's more that can be done with it than that, and this course name is emphasising that fact, possibly for the nervous parents paying for the course for would-be Matt Groenings...

To Moustafa: ok, I get it, no problem. Yes, the more context the better.

That's a lot of languages you speak, well done!

I suppose you could say "Animated Film" as well.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks, Conor, for your response. I try to add as much information as I can to make it easier and helpful to the people willing to answer with references around the topic itself. Participants in many questions I saw usually ask for context if the question was brief. That's the reason why I do so, thanks again for your insight.

Asker: Thanks for your kind words, I'm trying :D. Happy belated new year to you and your family. :)

neutral  SafeTex: For me, "animated cinema" in English is basically cartoons. I think "animation" is a false friend here.
