range Explanation: "distribution" is where the problem lies, apparently. You may have to interpret the term as meaning "range" (as in "dynamic range of spectrum analysers" and "la distribution d'analyseurs de gaz" would then be something like "the range of gaseous exchanges recorded by gas analysers, etc." |

gas exchange [measuring devices] include distributed gas analyzers operating on an ongoing basis Explanation: :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 35 mins (2016-02-08 14:31:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- or... as suggested, "... continuous-operation gas analyzers" to make it more compact. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 hrs (2016-02-09 07:01:34 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The problem lies in the mismatch between the first and the second part of the sentence. The first part seems to refer to measurements of a category of gases, while the second about the array of measuring devices performing them. Accordingly, an alternative could be: Gas exchange measurements include those of the continuous-operation array of analyzers etc. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 hrs (2016-02-09 07:31:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- In addition, the sentence seems to refer to a very specific layout in which the measuring devices are used: distributed array/continuous operation, possibly referring to at a specific site or situation. |
