This is slide 247 (the last one). I know "métier" has already been asked several times, but nothing fits here. Suggestions?
Note: Sorry, I don't know what PRF (one of the vast number of abbreviations in the Powerpoint) means, but I've asked the client.

(business) discipline
Explanation:
I always find this tricky when used in this sort of way!
Sometimes it is necessary to word around it so it ends up with no realy translation value, but in your case here, I think 'discipline' could well work; certainly with 'd'architecture', though it may be a bit trickier trying to work out exactly what kind of 'prestation' is being referred to here!

disagree  Tony M: The common, literal translation of 'trade' really doesn't work in most business situations, and especially not here; neither would 'sector' really be appropriate, sicne that generally refers to a 'business sector', which is not likely to be the case here.

disagree  B D Finch: Not in this context!

neutral  Daryo: Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Hybrid vehicles => what they are "building" are not buildings ... if they are at all "building" anything, it would be electrical cars.

agree  B D Finch: Not sure about "business", but you did put it in brackets.

-> Thanks, B! I agree, here, 'business' wouldn't really fit — but there are occasions, esp. where the 'métiers' are not qualified, where it is soemtimes necessary to put something in there.

agree  Chakib Roula: Discipline would definitely fit here as we are referring to numerous specialties in architecture

professions / professional profiles

Explanation:
basically the same idea as "trades" only here it would more be "professions".

they are talking of what kind of people need to included in the project - what kind of professional qualifications they would need.

la spécification des métiers de prestation
=
requirements / specifications regarding the professional profiles of those who are to provide these services

that's the idea - could be reworded.

neutral  Tony M: In this context, it isn't really possible to use 'professions', which means 'métiers' in a much wider sense; 'professional profiles' would be awfully clumsy when qualified + repeated! In my experience, that's not how it is being used in THIS context.

-> it seems to me (in fact it's more a guess) that they need qualified people, but not of the "tradesmen" type of qualifications.

métiers de prestation
service providers

Explanation:

https://www.lesechos.fr/06/11/2008/LesEchos/20295-148-ECH_va...

That may be implied here: the text refers to all the service providers that one would normally need to deal with in this field. Given the context, "architectures" most likely refers to computer architecture, not buildings.

So this is about knowing how to take into account the constraints imposed by, among other things, the specifications of service providers.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes, it's computer architecture - I should have made that clear!

Asker: I'd like to choose both "service providers" and "disciplines" as each is appropriate in their respective contexts (and I've used them both). I've finally decided that "disciplines" would probably be a little more useful to translators as a term you wouldn't necessarily come up with yourself. So thank you Eliza anyway!
