French to English translations [PRO]
Science - Agriculture / pesticide studies, statistics?
French term or phrase: RDP
Does anyone have an idea what this abbreviation stands for? The context is a study on treatments applied in-furrow at planting to control potato scab (Streptomyces scabies). It appears in the list of objects/treatments (Modalités, Moda):

Moda 1 Témoin

Moda 2 [name of product] 200 g/ha

Moda 3 [name of product] 1 kg/ha

I cannot figure out what RDP stands for. Maybe it stands for a statistical term? To sum it up, none of these treatments were effective.

Thanks for any suggestions.

It specifies "raie de plantation" for RDP, which according to IATE is "plant furrow", see here: https://iate.europa.eu/search/standard/result/1547298229804/...
I think "traitement raie de plantation" is known as "in-furrow treatment " in English, see here: https://tinyurl.com/yamqgnr5

Hope this helps, and hope the URLs work!

Happens all the time, John! Abbreviations generally suck, but don't when you know what they mean.

I guess I should have picked up on that, since raie de plantation is also written out elsewhere and in my context I even said "treatments applied in-furrow. Sometimes these abbreviations aren't obvious and can throw you. Thanks!
