"Le taux de reconstitution appliqué par les Impôts (2,5%) pourrait minorer le volume des bois en grumes."
Definitie:
Le taux ou indice de reconstitution (%Re) exprime la proportion en effectif, d'une essence au bout d'une rotation par rapport à l'effectif de cette même essence avant l'exploitation.
D'après de Madron et al. (1998a), le taux de reconstitution (%Re) est donné par:
%Re = {N0 (1-?) (1-á)T x 100} / Np, où :
% Re : est le pourcentage de reconstitution du nombre de tige exploitée.
v No : l'effectif reconstitué après la rotation, c'est encore l'effectif de quelques classes de diamètre immédiatement en-dessous du DME, susceptibles de passer au-dessus du DME après la rotation.
v ? : taux des dégâts d'exploitation forestière fixés à 7% du peuplement résiduel (Jahiel et al 1998).
v á: est le taux de mortalité. Elle représente la mortalité naturelle et normale des essences forestières et doit varier par classe de diamètre. En effet elle est plus élevée chez les jeunes tiges que chez les tiges surannées. Toutefois, elle a été fixé à 1% tout diamètre confondu.
v T : la durée de rotation fixée à 30 ans minimum.
v Np : l'effectif total initialement exploitable par essence.

"Recovery rates are not very high (i.e. % of trees above the minimum harvesting size after a full rotation)."
