Ik ben een Vlaams procedurestuk aan het vertalen. Op een gegeven moment staat er dat de gedaagde een vergoeding moet betalen, die dient te worden vermeerderd met "de moratoire en de gerechtelijke intresten aan de wettelijke intrestvoet van 7%". Volgens Van den End is "moratoir" "statutory", maar dan snap ik het verschil niet met "wettelijk" in deze zin. Maar ook de bedoeling van het gebruik van "aan" is mij niet geheel duidelijk. Alles wat mij bij deze zinsnede kan helpen, is welkom!

agree  writeaway: of course. same as French.Using Van den End to translate Belgian legal is pre-programmed for disaster. not 100% but for many many things. 2 different legal systems. really./US and UK same but very different too. differences have to be respected more.

  -> Thank you. Yes, Flemish legal terminology can at times differ siginificantly from Dutch terminology. Both are civil-law (not common law) systems, so to see them as two different legal systems is a bridge too far in my opinion.
