I am currently working on a short translation for a Flemish cable service provider, and am having problems with the above term.

The context is as follows:
De styling werd aangepast, om tijdens onderhandelingen het product beter verkoopbaar te maken. Verder werd de sluiting van de metalen RF-sealing en de neopreen dichting geoptimaliseerd. De plaatsing ervan garandeert nu een betere afdichting, terwijl de geometrie en het rotatiepunt van het scharnier zo werd gekozen, dat de sluitkracht nagenoeg overal tegelijk en constant in werking treedt.
Ten derde werd het nieuwe versterkte scharnier, dat in het deksel een nabewerking krijgt, matrijs-vriendelijk opgebouwd. Eventuele matrijsslijtage heeft geen invloed meer op het functioneren van het scharnier: voordien waren vele matrijsrevisies noodzakelijk wegens breuk. Nu wordt eenvoudigweg het boorschema van de nabewerking aangepast.
