Given the different educational contexts in Europe, I was wondering how to translate this into English (English and US-educational system).

Explanation:
is what's most often used, even though I don't always agree with the 'M' part -should in fact be BA+ (or something along that line, if that would exist :)), as an MA usually entails a lot more than what is taught over here.

On the other hand, most BA's are below our level of 'licentiaat'.
And certain MA's are indeed on our 'licentiaat' level or below that - a lot depends on the university you attend.

You should therefore stick to 'MA in Translation Studies/Translation'
