Finnish term or phrase: tukironka
My references say support frame, however, that would be tukikehys. It also looks more like a pillar, through which air also is directed, cp. ilmaa voidaan johtaa tukitungon [sic] kautta pitkin turirunkoa siirettäville toimilaiteteille.

I am assuming that tukutungon is a typo for tukirungon, or am I wrong?

Kirjoitan tätä kommenttiani erilliseksi vastaukseksi, vaikka minulla ei olekaan tarkoituksena tehdä kilpailevaa ehdotusta. Komenttien sallittu merkkimäärä vain on niin pieni, että se loppuu heti kesken.

Kirjoitusvirheestä varmastikin on kysymys, mutta tavoitteena on voinut olla myös sellainen sana kuin 'tukiranko' (vert 'luuranko' , skeleton). Tukiranko voisi minun mielikuvissanin olla avoin ristikkorakennelma ja vielä pitkä/korkeakin, siis tuon kuvaamasi pilarin kaltainen. Tukirunko taas voisi olla rakenne, johon kiinnitetään jotain, ja joka usein jää peittoon.

'Tukitungon' on varmastikin myös kirjoitusvirhe, mutta tavoiteltu sana voisi myös olla 'tukitanko'. Tukitangon kautta voidaan ilmaa syöttää, jos tanko on esim. ontto tai siihen on kiinnitetty ilmaputki.
