As the sample translation of the sentence you suggest shows, it's really hard to force UX into this context. Google ("user experience" and drug) and you'll see how uncommon this usage is. You get hits, but none of them (for the first few pages I looked at anyway) are actually using the term to refer to users' exp with the drug unless it's illegal or maybe viagra. And as for your source for the use of "user", scientific articles aren't exactly known for their tact. The sample sentence we were given sounds more like ad copy. Sorry to seem combative...I would just never let this term go by me in this context without copious (virtual) red ink even if it were the client's preferred term. |
