Tech/Engineering - Medical: Instruments
Finnish term or phrase: kanturi
The context of this sentence is a bid request for software that will collect the radiation doses from x-rays and other imaging methods:

"Pystyykö ohjelmistosta tarkastamaan potilaan keskityksen (laitteen kanturissa ylä-alasuunnassa)?"

"Is it possible to check the patient's focusing[???] in the software (in the device's [???] in the up-down direction)?"

1) Does anyone know what a "kanturi" is?

2) What does "keskitys" mean in this context? Does it have to do with e.g. how strong the radiation beam is?

Thanks

Explanation:
I have no time for research at the moment, but my glossary has "gantry" for "kanturi" and "centering" for "keskitys" so you could try going from there. A quick search brought up the link below.

agree  Susan Ruusunen: Agreed for kanturi = gantry. Btw, local radiologists don't even recommend 'kanturi' in Finnish, it is some old translation that popped up earlier, and they'd prefer just gantry.
