watercress

Explanation:
Watercress is the herbaceous plant used mainly fresh in sandwiches or salads in England, e.g. egg and (water)cress sandwich, cultivated and grown on wetland on watercress farms

Lepidium sativum is the actual Latin name for garden cress, whereas watercress does literally refer to Nasturtium officinalis. There is as such a difference between these two, but I would be very inclined -without further context- to use "watercress". The genus Nasturtium includes the variants that are used as basket plants, for example. If this should help at all...?

agree  Desmond O'Rourke: Kaisa Karjalainen's puutarhasanasto ISBN 951-31-3150-5 distinguishes between (iso)vesikrassi = watercress & vesikrassi = garden cress. The latter is used in salads.
