Persian (Farsi) term or phrase: اصالتا
Greetings,

اصالتا is, I think, pronounced ‘esālatan’: شما اصالتا اهل کجا هستید؟

The thing is, I think it corresponds to ‘originally’ here: “Where are you from originally?”

But I thought I'd better ask as I find nothing to support this in my dictionaries.

Btw, the scene was set in Iran's embassy in Paris in the 1920s, so it may be old-fashioned.

Best wishes, and many thanks,

Simon
