English term or phrase: cool hand
Does anybody know the expression "cool hand"? This is a literal translation of a text I am working on from Italian. There are a couple of ghits on this but not many so I was wondering whether the term is being correctly or incorrectly used in the English. The term is a description for loose fitting clothing made in a natural fabric.

the fabric breathes*
Explanation:
Unlike synthetics, natural fibers "breathe." When a person perspires, the fibres wick away the moisture and the wearer feels cooler.

I have a feeling it was translated from English to Italian first and is probably short for "handle".
