fitted

Explanation:
"nipped in" applies that the shirt fits tightly around the waist, whereas "fitted" implies it is tailored and closely fitting. Jackets tend to be nipped in but shirts and dress tend to be fitted. Obviously it depends what exactly the shirts look like :)

pleated in

Explanation:
pleated. When a p;eat is put in a blouse it is nip and tuck.

You put a pleat in, to nip the blouse in a but tighter or to give it a better style.

(Funny the same term, nip and tuck is also used for plastic surgery)

"from cocoon jackets and nipped-in blouses to elegant wide-legged trousers and a very sharp tuxedo."
Indicates they are not fitted on a person, but on hangers in a collection.

If a person was wearing the blouse and it was "nipped in" then it COULD be made to fit tightly around the waist, as in Jacks answer - but where they are hanging on a hanger, being "nipped in" could mean they were nipped in under the breast, the back, the neck or the arms etc, in which case they would be pleated in or they are pleated blouses.

It is ok, I understand, but there is nothing in the text where it says it involves nipping in around the waist, Nipping in around the arms, or nipping in under the bust, so I don't see how you would have chosen nipped in around the waist to make it tighter fitting. A nipped in Blouse could just have a pleat down the middle of the back, or nipped in (pleated ) and tucked up under the bust line, Anyhow you know best.
