boat built on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay Explanation: is how I see it -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2009-02-27 17:33:30 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- the one in this picture looks like your average sport fishing boat, so don't think there's anything special about these boats, other then where they are made - local patriotism as it were... http://www.bayweekly.com/year05/issuexiii41/leadxiii41_1.htm... |

a boat built for bay fishing Explanation: You have deep sea fishing boats and boats for fishing in a bay where the water is not so rough and then you have river and waterways fishing boats. River boats have a flat bottom, Bay boats have a small V bottom and deep sea have bigger V bottoms for stability The water and the depth of the water in a Bay is smoother and shallower then the open sea. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2009-02-27 22:37:17 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?s=ae17b22317a2ec... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs (2009-02-28 00:33:26 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Boat 1 A V-nose punt type boat between 4 and 5 meteres. This would be aimed at shallow water creek work with the ability to scoot out into the bays as well. Boat 2 A V-Hull boat between 4.5 and 5.5 meteres Boat 2 is aimed at more open bay work, with the occasional sortie beyond the heads. |
