variable moduli Explanation: Another suggestion. If you want a "made up" word, try "varimodular" but I don't think it really exists. Good luck. |

heteromodular Explanation: This is also an invention by Russian scientists/translators but it is found in a number of articles and sounds more like a legit word |

heteroelastic Explanation: This term appears to be used in real life. I'd recommond it instead of 'heteromodular', because the key aspect is the elasticity (the modulus of elasticity is just a measure of the elasticity), and 'heteromodular' would more likely be understood to mean 'having different modes' instead of 'having different moduli'. sample ref: PDF] sTie20 13..21 Bestandsformaat: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - HTML-versie Mechanically these composite materials are heteroelastic on a ... here is not only a feature of heteroelastic nanocomposites. ... 195.171.30.10/nonsec/T102P01A00013.pdf -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 0 min (2005-11-01 14:26:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, that should read 'having different modules' or 'being composed of different types of modules'. |
