English term or phrase: reinstatement
I am currently translating a draft addendum to a labour agreement. It will be concluded as a consequence of an amendment to the Tax and Labour Code, according to which social contributions and salary tax etc. shall be charged to the employee instead of the employer. The addendum states that in the event said law is overturned/repealed a.s.o., the employee shall return to the previous salary. I am trying to find a formal translation of this. Would "the previous salary shall be reinstated" be ok? I can only find "reinstate" with references to reinstatement in a job...
I would appreciate any formal suggestions!:)

agree  philgoddard: Or restored. "Be returned to their previous salary" is fine too. Webster's defines reinstate as "restore (someone or something) to their former position or state."
