English term or phrase: has a deep bench to learn into to align attributes
Easier said than done, of course, considering that decisions in emerging economies are often made by the minute and the day, not by the month and year as they are in developed economies like the United States and the United Kingdom. But GE, as Immelt says, has a deep bench to learn into to align attributes and dig in, recognizing that the company has advantages competitors do not have.
