organization-stakeholder relationships (here) Explanation: It is very clear from the second point (--Fill in...6-12 months) that the relations within the organisation are not being referred to in this context. Please see this link which shows the influence/interest matrix to map the organisation-stakeholder (or power relationships, as per this context). http://www.tutor2u.net/business/accounts/stakeholder_power.h... The relevance of this topic is even greater given the recent governance failures involving Enron, Tyco, and WorldCom. http://www.albany.edu/~pm157/research/stakeholders.pdf This article from The Academy of Management Journal tries to show the effect of power relationships on the firm's financial performance. Reference: A previous question Reference information: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/English/social_science_sociology_e... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2015-02-03 19:44:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The concept of "power relations" deals with how different groups are able to interact with and control other groups. Understanding power relations is important for understanding modern sociology. However, there is considerable debate about how power relations should be defined. In areas where different groups of people live, one group is likely to exert control over the other group. The relations can be clear and unambiguous in certain scenarios; slaves, for example, are explicitly controlled by other groups. Power relations also deal with more subtle forms of control; roles in movies are dominated by men, so many claim that patriarchal dominance privileges men over women in films. http://www.ask.com/world-view/power-relations-8263a0ae182ff7... |
