membrance membrane (keyboard / keypad) Explanation: the flat keyboards used on many devices nowadays -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 hrs 7 mins (2005-09-15 06:51:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- in reply to your comment: look at http://www.whiteheather.co.nz/outdoor/refrigeration/feature.... and you'll see that even portable ones have membrane keypads! Anyway, if there's a ribbon cable / flatcable, there's at least a PCB (probably with display and/or keypad) on part you're removing |
