I am translating an handbook about home theatre.

In some sentences I have the word "display":
The purpose of calibrating your display is to reproduce pictures with maximum clarity possible.

and again:
The following tests will adjust the brightness, contrast, colour and sharpness, using the controls on your display.

Does it mean "screen"? I cannot undertsand if the customer means simply "screen" or something different, because he sometimes says "screen", and sometimes "display".

I would not use monitor (U.S.) - actually the settings/parameters are calibrated, not the display
