English term or phrase: two-paragraph essay
Does a two-paragraph essay mean writing 2 paragraphs in general, and according to the standards of composition, do we consider a two-paragraph essay an essay? Or should it be at least 3 paragraphs in order to be considered an essay? What's confusing me is the fact that we used to write an introduction, a body paragraph, and a conclusion. So, it should be at least 3 paragraphs. Please let me know about your feedback. I'm confused

Context:
"As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing. In your opinion, what factors contribute to teacher job satisfaction? Write a two-paragraph essay of about 200 words."

Selected answer:two-paragraph essay - it is OK.
Explanation:
An essay could basically be any piece of writing that gives the author's opinion. It is a very sketchy term, and it is very hard to define it. In many academic institutions, at least in the US, 5-paragraph essays are required, but shorter, e.g. 2-paragraph, essays are common, too. They just have a slightly different structure. For example, the thesis statement would be one of the first three sentences, and it could also function as a hook. There is also no place for "padding", and the supporting evidence must be brief and on point.

I would personally use the word, "response" here, but "essay" is not very jarring to my ears in this context.

two-paragraph essay

Explanation:
I think it also counts as an essay, but I recommend you ask your teacher to find out for sure. Essays are one of the teachers' most popular tools to develop students' skills. When I was a freshman, I always wrote essays on my own. But because I now work, I don't have enough time to write everything. I found the best essay writing service reddit 2022 https://www.reddit.com/r/collegehub/comments/wfcbn9/best_ess... , and now I use their services. For a reasonable price, I get a well-done essay.
