I am also glad to having such a nice discussion with you .That was my point which i raised on which you are agreed now that Azimuth is not vector so i will conclude my discussion on Wikipedia's sentence "An azimuth is an angular measurement in a spherical coordinate system" .

The online dictionary you are referring is general dictionary.Knowledge does not end in it. NLPD has published over a dozen other PRO level dictionaries, ranging from Geography, Medical to IT.

Bro try to learn to read between the lines. I have already described it but here is detailed explanation

A vector is a quantity that has both direction and magnitude, e.g. force or velocity, usually represented by an arrow

A angle is space between diverging lines: the space between two diverging lines or planes, or a measure of the space

An azimuth is the direction of a celestial object from the observer

Now for the last time, it is neither vector nor angle in itself, its a direction, a particular direction. You can use concept of angle or vector to explain it but technically it is none of them

NLPD dictionary has suggested سمتیہ as it is not direction, but a particular direction

May be its translated similar as you are saying in "Dictionary of Geography" by NLPD. but in their online web they had used this word for vector.
It is also not the "vector defined in spherical Coordinate System" its the angle between the two vectors as i discussed before Azimuth is usually measured in degrees (°). And for your information there are few coordinate systems in science like Linear Coordinate System,spherical Coordinate System, cylindrical Coordinate System . Coordinate System are different ways of describing vectors . so by saying "vector defined in spherical Coordinate System" doesn't mean that its not the vector .Only want to say one thing that its angle not the vector i hope now its clear .

This Dictionary is not available online. You can find it in Urdu bazar, Rawalpindi.

I did not say vector, I said "vector defined in spherical Coordinate System". There is fundamental difference between the two sayings.

Azimuth is not a vector brother please just read your provided link
An azimuth is an angular measurement in a spherical coordinate system. The vector from an observer (origin) to a point of interest is projected perpendicularly onto a reference plane;" the angle between the projected vector and a reference vector on the reference plane is called the azimuth"
its the angle between reference vector and projected vector and if you please read the third paragraph of your provided link
"Azimuth is usually measured in degrees (°)." Vector can't be measured in degrees bro. If you please switch this article of Wikipedia to Urdu language you will see its translated as سمت. I hope now its clear that Azimuth is not a vector .

Bro Shahbaz I opened this discussion to answer the questions you have raised as in the comment due to shortage of space i could not answer.

First of all, this term has been suggested by "Dictionary of Geography" by NLPD.

Secondly if you might have searched the term "azimuth", you could have know that azimuth is also a "vector", defined in spherical coordinate system.
