I think using the transliteration of idea, after initially translating it according to context, sounds like a good option in many situations, especially ones that deal with "product ideas."

I think the word you are looking for is "khyal" although this can also mean opinion, it depends on the context of the sentence in which the word is used

I am totally agree with your every word. Idea is terribly tricky word to translate but let's adopt the Samira Khalid's suggestion to borrow this word from English and use it as it is.Though I submitted "Takhayyul" to my client and they accepted it very warmly.Thank You All.

Although Irshad Sahib's translation seems to be the best we can do, I don't think there is a good enough word in Urdu to accurately describe the concrete nature of "idea" as often used in English. The Urdu counterparts of "idea" sound and feel more like "thoughts," whereas "idea" has a more concrete feel to it, probably by its extensive use as something related to products and services that actually come into existence. For instance, we don’t say “I have three product thoughts for market research.” Although the word “concept” may apply here, but it has a more sophisticated feel and can be described aptly by the word "نظریہ". I wish there was a better word for the common use of the word "idea" though.
