right team, right time, right now. Вправно, вчасно, відразу! Explanation: Slogans are tough, indeed. I agree with Mr. Dubisskiy's version, because he kept the slogan short, although the sounding of it in Ukrainian is a little awkward. Ms. Dyakova, on the other hand, preserved the emphatic tautology by using the word "саме" and rendered the slogan's semantics well but at the expense of brevity. Therefore, my suggestion "Вправно, вчасно, відразу" is a possible compromise. All the three words are adverbs and reflect the nominative nature of the original slogan in English. In addition, the repetition of the word "right" and the "t" alliteration in English is compensated by the "в" alliteration and the "a" assonance in Ukrainian. One potential shortcoming of my suggestion is that the meaning of the word "team" becomes less pronounced, even though the word "вправно" does convey the sense of "professional and skilled." |
