English term or phrase: Halfway across the world
Whether performing difficult installations halfway across the world, dealing with temperamental clients, managing work yard egos, fighting the elements - or just each other - the stakes could not be higher.

I don't get the concept of "halfway across the world"
Shall I translate it as "dunyanin bir ucu"?
Do you have any suggestions?

Turkish translation:dünyanın öbür ucunda
Explanation:
It is like the halfway around the world, like the opposite projection.. In Turkish and in the context you stated, it is usually "dünyanın öbür ucunda".

"...the use of halfway across is an exaggeration, simply meaning far away. Literally it means something like, if you are halfway across the street you are standing in the middle. If you leave London and are halfway across the continent you might be in Switzerland. Halfway across the world (actually the expression I've heard more is halfway around the world) means very far away, as if they were on the other side of the planet..."

Btw, if taken literally as halfway "across" the world, I guess that it would mean the center of the world.
