I now wonder whether there is a term in SV that really covers this. As Thomas O wrote there are usually several levels of half-area floors in a split-level house. An "etagevåning" isn't necesarily like that, it is quite likely to be a 2 (or 3) level apartment where each level covers the whole house area. I don't think it is necessarily built on sloping ground, as for the terms "sluttningshus" and "sutterängshus".
