"engage", som i "To attach the rim/diaphragm assembly to the chestpiece, engage the groove of the rim (with the diaphragm attached) around the chestpiece at one point and hold it in place with your thumbs."

Jag översatte så här:

"För att fästa membran-ringenheten på bröststycket, börja vid en punkt och passa ihop ringens skåra (med membranet fastsatt) runt hela bröststycket och håll det på plats med tummarna."

Alltså att man passar ihop ringen runtom hela bröststycket.

Är inte helt säker på hur förfarandet går till, även om jag fick bilder till att titta på den här gången. Sammanhanget är hur man sätter ihop ett stetoskop.
