How did the life of the early church, the community of

neutral  Neil Ashby: Wouldn't "fiel comprensión" >> a true understanding? Have you interpreted "faith" as "faithful" (true, correct represntation)? I think the source is wayward (as you also do, I guess) and requires interpretation..... difficult one this.

Creo que “understanding” está modificado tanto por la memoria (el recuerdo) como por la fe. Es decir, la primera comunidad de creyentes no necesariamente tenía memoria directa y personal de Jesús, así que esa “memoria”, ese “recuerdo” de Jesús está basado en la fe también, en la creencia de que lo que te cuentan del Hijo de Dios es verdad. Así, tanto la memoria como la comprensión se basan en la fe. Citando de memoria aquello de “dichosos los que sin ver creen, porque de ellos es el Reino de los Cielos”. En oposición a una actitud santo Tomasiana, en la que el discípulo Tomás no se cree que Jesús haya resucitado hasta que no lo vea y pueda tocar con sus propias manos las llagas y las heridas del cuerpo crucificado (y resucitado) de Jesús.

De ahí que sugiera estas opciones que tal vez puedan serte útiles, dependiendo del tono general de tu traducción, e intentando comunicar el concepto clave…

… la memoria y la comprensión sustentada por la fe de quién es Jesús.

… la memoria y la comprensión de quién es Jesús, apoyadas en la fe.

… una memoria y una comprensión alimentada por la fe de quién es Jesús.

O

… la memoria y la comprensión sustentadas por la fe que [nos] revelan quién es Jesús.
