agree  JaneTranslates: Though "prevailing" can mean both, I think the author's point is not so much the constancy of Christ's intercession as its effectiveness. Not that it never ends, but that it never fails.

Explanation:
Aunque "prevailing" pueda traducirse por "prevalente", en castellano se usaría, en este caso y por hablar de Jesucristo, de que su oración no se interrumpe (como lo dice el mismo texto) y que es eficaz. Por tanto, sugiero usar "intercesión perenne" para adecuarse al tono semipoético del texto.
