to make it clear: a "padding machine" is "una máquina encoladora" in Spanish and a "binding machine" is "una máquina encuadernadora".

That could be a machine used to punch a series of holes along the edge of the sheets, where a spiral wire (or plastic rings) can be inserted, to 'bind' the sheets in the manner of a traditional journalist's notepad ( see http://blog.liquidevergreen.com/2009/04/01/put-a-spiral-bind... ). The 'encoladora' is also a 'binding machine', except that the sheets are held in place by glue instead of a wire spiral. So you have two methods of binding, both of which are commonly used for notepads.

Dear Mediatrix, thanks for your answer, but it appears that I still have some doubts. I have also the term "binder machine" but in this case, the machine "binds" the copies by making a hole in them. Is that right?

A padding machine is not used to 'print' notepads, it is used to 'bind' them. It does this by spreading glue along the edge of a stack of pre-printed sheets. Is a low-budget form of 'perfect binding'. See here, for example: http://www.officezone.com/pad2.htm
