estoy traduciendo un texto sobre soldadura, pero referida a joyería. En este contexto, se mencionan los "grades".

"There are differnet grades of solder (...). They come in strips of different widths...
Wire silver solder comes in easy and extra-easy grades
Gold solder has a similar grading system...

¿Serán grados de dureza, granulometría...? No encuentro nada al respecto.

Al parecer se refiere a los tipos de soldaura, en este caso de la plata:

"The three grades (when used in jewellery making) are: 'Easy', 'Medium' and 'Hard'.
These refer to the temperature that the solder melts - 'Hard' is the highest, 'Easy' is the lowest.

The different grades allow a joint to be soldered, next to an existing joint. Thus you would normally use 'hard' first, then 'medium', and finally 'easy'."

En inglés y español hablan de lo mismo, el uso de la temperatura para derretir material. Entonces, si usas soldadura dura (high) significa que usaras mucho calor 450º, y soldadura blanda, menos calor 230 º aprox.
