Supongo, pues, que se trata de una fijación mediante un casquillo de rosca mogul (tal cual), que es la usual para lámparas, pero de mayor tamaño (diámetro...), que se enrosca, no en una rosca (macho o hembra correspondiente), sino sobre un "dimple", es decir, una protuberancia en forma de hoyuelo.

Si es así, no creo que se trate de muchas vueltas -probablemente de 1/4, o media como máximo.
