English term or phrase: cost neutral
This is an employee resource manual for Spanish-speaking employees in a United States firm, so I'm looking for generic "US" Spanish. Also, I'm trying to gear the manual at about an 8th-grade reading level.

In a section outlining the conditions governing shift swaps, it says "The change must be cost neutral (i.e. occurs within the same pay period)."

I'm thinking something like "El cambio [de turnos] debe resultar económicamente neutral (o sea, se deben intercambiar turnos dentro del mismo período de pago)", but "cost neutral" sounds to me like the kind of term for which there must actually be some officially accepted translation which I just haven't been able to find.

coste compensado

Explanation:
cuando se cambia un swap y no se produce coste de intereses o de divisas, podríamos decir que se compensan los costes.
