English term or phrase: reappointed
(Director was) reappointed on june

Incluso...

"EN JUNIO SE PROCEDIÓ A RENOVAR EL NOMBRAMIENTO DEL DIRECTOR"

"Most of its members were **reappointed** to their previous portfolios."

"Retiring judges may be **reappointed**."

"Los jueces salientes podrán ser **nuevamente designados**."

"He was appointed member of the Board of Directors of Red Eléctrica de España, S.A. at the Special Shareholders' Meeting of the Company held on July 20, 1999, and **reappointed** at the Special Shareholders' Meeting held on July 17, 2003."

reappoint is renombrar - PLEASE SEE EXPLANATION

Explanation:

BlueParadise:

The term: appointed in Spanish is: nombrar.

When in Spanish you appoint to somebody for second time you also use the prefix “re”.

According to the previous explanation, the verb “reappoint” in Spanish is “renombrar”. (“reappointed” is “renombrado”.)

These are the explanations of the Real Academia Española:

1) REA says: nombrar.

2) REA says: re-. (Del lat. re-). 1. pref. Significa 'repetición'.

I hope this explanation helps you,

Thanks

Domingo

In same special cases, it is possible to translate: “reappoint” as redesignar”. The term: designer in Spanish is used when you appoint chiefs, managers, big bosses. Here you have the explanation from the Real Academia Española about “designar”.

The REA says: “designar” is: (Del lat. designāre). destinar a alguien o algo para determinado fin.

If you use: “redesignar”, in your case is: “redesignado”.
