¡Hola!

Estoy traduciendo un pasaje de una novela en el que se describen los caballos que participarán en una carrera, y se dice: "some of the horses have lathered. Froth drips down their lips and chest (...)"

Parece bastante claro que se trata de la espuma que les sale del hocico, pero me pregunto si hay un término más específico. Supongo que salivar es una reacción que padece el animal al llevar puesta la brida, concretamente el "bocado". ¿Algún entendido me puede ayudar? ¡Muchas gracias!
