English term or phrase: poll flexion
Abnormalities of the upper airway (UA) are frequently
implicated as a cause of poor performance,
exercise intolerance, or abnormal respiratory noise in
the equine.Common abnormalities involving the
function of the arytenoid cartilages include recurrent
laryngeal neuropathy, arytenoid chondritis, and laryngeal
dysplasia. Dorsal displacement of the soft palate
(DDSP) and pharyngeal collapse affect the pharyngeal

collapse associated with ***poll flexion*** can affect
multiple regions of the larynx and pharynx.

Poll = the poll is the area immediately behind the ears and the underlying bones are the top of the skull bone and the atlas bones of the neck

Esa es la definición que encontré para "poll" pero no estoy segura y tambpoco encuentro su equivalente en español.

Te dejo una explicación del uso de esta técnica en el adiestramiento de caballos:

" The self-maintained neck and head position of the horse in correct schooling where vertical flexion of the cervical vertebrae and atlanto-occipital joint (also known as poll flexion or roundness) results in the nasal planum being approximately 6 degrees in front of the vertical or 12 degrees at walk. This posture is intended to improve the balance of the ridden horse (relocating extra weight to the hindquarters) and its willingness to respond to the signals transmitted by the rider through the reins."

Muchas gracias. No había dado con la idea de un movimiento de riendas, pero buscando en la literatura puedo confirmar que se trata de una causa de la afección de las vías respiratorias superiores.
