Buenas!

Se trata de un formulario para rellenar para hacer un testamento y junto al título, FORMULARIO 1 DE TESTAMENTO PARA INGLATERRA, GALES E IRLANDA DEL NORTE, aparece "simple gift of the residue".

Encuentro que es esto:
"All the above can be easily avoided by simply including a 'Further Gift of Residue' clause in your Will. You can then specify who should inherit your assets in the event that your desired beneficiary has already died and you can rest assured that your wishes will take place."

"The residue of an estate (sometimes called “all the rest, residue, and remainder” of an estate) is the aggregate of all of the probate assets of the estate which have not otherwise been paid toward debts, expenses, or taxes of the estate, or given away in the testator’s will via specific gifts, demonstrative gifts, or general gifts."

Sería algo así como "donación residual"?

Gracias de antemano!

legado de residuo

Explanation:
Legado de residuo es aquel en que el testador manda que los bienes hereditarios de que no disponga el instituido sean transmitidos a otra persona.

Your text refers to a “legado” rather than a “donación” because this is a testamentary gift rather than an inter vivos gift.

legado puro y simple a título universal de in/muebles (donación universal del remanente)

Explanation:
Perchance no need to spell out the 'reside' as ressiduary beneficiary implies taking everything left over after deduction of taxes, debts and legacies: opf chattels vs. devises of land that includes building in ENG law. IATE: en residuary beneficiary COM es beneficiario de la parte remanente vs. the City of London Scrivener-Linguists notarially certifiable translation of 'heredero or heredera universal'.

Note that, also in FRE law, a título universal would apply only to the free estate, notably the 'cuota disposnible' after the forced heirs - usually as next-of-kin - have tkane their cut. There is no forced heirship in Angl-Am law, except for the French-influence State of Louisana, so this 'available estate' doctrine would 'disapply'.
