Hola Jackie,

I agree with Bertha about "tentempiés", which is fine, but not with "bocadillos" At least in Spain, vending machines do not sell "bocadillos" (slices of bread with something inside)... do they anywhere else?

I would also advice "aperitivos" which is VERY usual in Spain for little things to eat as a "tentempié", and usually used because not everyone here is willing to say "tentempié"... quite a difficult word to say even for Spanish people ;)

Explanation:
Yo diría "snacks" simplemente, porque, al menos en la Argentina, bocado/refrigerio/aperitivo se refieren a otro tipo de comida, y bocadillo/tentempié no son de uso popular, por tanto, no se aplican justamente a los alimentos que expende la máquina. Por ejemplo, aperitivo es una pre-comida con bebidas (Aperitivos: Gancia, Fernet, Cinzano) y cositas como aceitunas, salame, queso, papas fritas, maníes, etc.
E inclusive, en los paquetes de papas fritas dice Snacks.
Espero no haber oscurecido la cuestión.

Es la denominación normal para este tipo de máquinas. "Snack" no se suele traducir en este contexto. En el lenguaje hablado se les suele llamar "cosas para picar" en España. Cabe destacar que "snack" es un concepto genérico y que incluye multitud de productos.
