Hola,
A mi me parece que "break the tie" habría que reemplazarlo por algo así como "desconexión". Romper el "enlace" que tiene horno o calentador seguramente con alguna variable del proceso. Habría que ver el contexto, pero entiendo que se trata de una instrucción para desconectar o "romper el enlace" de ese elemento, el cual seguramente está atado a un control automático del proceso.
