English term or phrase: Generator set enclosure
Hello,

Id like to ask some advice on how to accurately translate this words. I have found "recinto", "carcasa", but I am not sure which one(if any) is the best. The document is a guide on how to transport a generator set:

If the generator set enclosure is mounted on multiple pads where it is elevated above the main surface it may cause discharge air recirculation underneath the unit.
Enclosures are constructed with the intent of single pad mounting

As a Title: Generator set with enclosure
Enclosure Attached to the Enclosure Base

Many thanks!!

Spanish translation:gabinete del generador/caja del generador
Explanation:
I understand it as the box in which the generator is contained.
I give you two options:
caja: box
gabinete: similar to the one used for desk CPU.
Hope it helps
Kind regards,
Carlos

Thank you .. I think on this case, "Caja" makes more sense...

generator set enclosure
carcasa del generador

Explanation:
I think you are right "carcasa" is housing, which seems to be what is being referred to:

agree  Neil Ashby: I think you're right, it's a bad English text and uses "enclosure" when really it's talking about the housing physically attached to the gennie (as opposed to an enclosure to maintain distance).

generator set enclosure
cabina del generador

Explanation:
This type of genset usually comes in a enclosure additional to the generator itself. This enclosure is known as cabina to us. If you google generator set enclosure and then google cabina del generador you will see the same reference images.
Carcasa on the other hand, is the genset itself, its body if you will.
Hope this helps.
