English term or phrase: To account for shrinkage during the forming process
Hi there,

I am translating an installation manual for a LED lighting system and have come across this sentence which I understand but I am having issues translating it into Spanish. Whole sentence as follows:
Mark the light guide at the required length, adding 0.5 in. (13mm) for every 16 in. (406mm) to account for shrinkage during the forming process.

Thank you!

agree  Miquel Gomez Besos: ¡Hola! yo aquí no usaría merma.
