English term or phrase: Bonded neutral vs Neutral ground

Begin by removing the alternator cover. Once the
cover is off remove the nut that holds the bonded
ground jumper wire (see “2” in Figure 6). Once the nut
is removed take the bonded jumper wire off and re-secure
the nut. Next remove the screw holding the neutral ground
wire (see “1” in Figure 6). Attach the bonded jumper wire
(2) to the NEUTRAL GROUND (1) and tighten the screw.

If the BONDED NEUTRAL is removed the generator must be
relabeled as floating neutral on the control panel.

Mil gracias!

toma de tierra vs borne neutro
Explanation:
Hola:

Explicaciones sencillas:

1. a licensed electrician will need to consider removing the bonded neutral to ensure proper operation of household GFCI circuits.

2. If your generator is equipped with GFCI receptacles, removing the bonded neutral may not allow proper operation of the GFCI receptacles.

3. If the bonded neutral is removed the generator must be relabeled as floating neutral on the control panel.

Mucha suerte.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIVE/HOT, NEUTRAL AND GROUND
An electrical circuit consists of two wires. One carries the current from a source to a load, and the other returns this current back to the source. In any electrical circuit, this loop must be closed for the current to flow.

A wire that carries a current from a source to a load is called a “live/hot wire” – a current carrying wire.

A wire that returns the current back to the source is called a “neutral wire”, or simply neutral – current carrying wire again.

Contrary to these two, a “ground wire”, or just ground, is not a part of the electrical loop and only carries current in a fault condition, quite literally into the ground (which is why it is often also called earth). The ground wire is basically a protective wire, whose purpose is to ensure the safety of the system.
